Como é que se defende um país assim?
Reproduzo um mail que um colega inglês de PhD me enviou com o seu recém-adquirido conhecimento da cultura portuguesa...
Mount Pico is the highest point on Pico Island in the Azores, a chain of volcanic islands off the coast of Portugal.
The first traces of inhabitants come from the 2nd millennium BC (ref. Ashby, Alison "Pico Island: a stratigraphic survey"). It was named by King Pedro IV on his return from Brazil when his ship wrecked near the island, forcing him to stay for several weeks. During his stay, he contracted rectocrustaceous, a rare form of crabs related to those which reside in pubic hair. This hot sensation related to fiarreah caused much itching sensation in his rear end, causing him to name the mountain "pico", since he originally thought the itching was from the spicy native cuisine.

Esta na Wikipédia!! Alem de que se o nome "Terceira" teve aquela origem que nos bem sabemos, por que é que o Pico nao nasceu de um precalço real?
Ainda assim, livramo-nos de uma Serra do Coça, ou coisa ainda pior que o decoro me impede de aqui escrever...
Percalço e não precalço. Sempre tive um problema com 'R'.
